The COVID-19 safety protocols for the Bangladesh Canada Friendship Society (BCFS) Summer Outdoor Picnic 2021.

  • All participants must follow the Nova Scotia Public Health (Phase 4) guidelines, which can be found at: https://novascotia.ca/reopening-plan/phase-four/
  • If you observe any symptoms of COVID-19 prior to the event, please do not come. We will refund your full registration fee.
  • Upon arrival, please go to the check-in desk and confirm your arrival. At the registration desk, you will receive a complimentary mask and will have access to plenty of hand sanitizer.
  • Once your check-in is confirmed, you will be assigned to a designated station at the picnic spot. Your designated spot will be color coded. Please make sure that you collect your food and beverage from your designated station only. Each station will have no more than 50 people.
  • Unless you are among your family bubble, we recommend that masks be worn at all times and physical distancing (2 meters) be maintained as stipulated by the Nova Scotia Public Health (Phase 4) Guidelines.
  • Each station will have designated COVID-19 Safety Protocol Marshal who will enforce these safety protocols. Please follow the instructions from the COVID-19 Safety Protocol Marshal of your station.
  • Your main course will be prepared by a certified restaurant in Halifax and will be individually packaged for each participant. Drinks will be served as soda cans to each individual and will be touchless. Mask must be worn, and physical distancing must be maintained while collecting your food and beverage.
  • Please do not touch any food item other than yours. Our designated volunteer will direct you on how to collect your meal box and soda can.
  • You can take-off your mask while eating but physical distancing must be maintained unless you are within your family bubble.
  • Each designated station will have volunteers who will assist you in navigating these safety protocols. Please reach out to those volunteers if you are unsure about any of these rules.
  • If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to any of our Picnic Committee Members or any of the BCFS Board Member.
